H.S. TRACK & FIELD | Nuguse Going to Be a Massive Force At State Meet

05/16/2017 05:53 PM

DuPont Manual track star Yared Nuguse is going to be tough competition for anyone facing him at this weekend’s KHSAA State Track and Field Championships.

In fact, Nuguse could become a state champion in four different events this weekend.

“He’s as good as I’ve ever seen,” said Manual head coach Tim Holman. “He is an unbelievable talent and I doubt I’ll see another like him.”

The crazy part was that Nuguse wasn’t even a runner until his freshman year.

Prior to that, he was a participant in events such as science fairs.

He is committed to Notre Dame, where he will run track and major in biochemistry.
