H.S. FOOTBALL | Wolford Resigns as St. X Head Coach

12/19/2017 01:29 PM

Will Wolford has resigned as head coach of the St. X football team.

Wolford spent the last five years as head coach of the Tigers. During that time, he had an overall record of 44-22 with the team.

This past season, Wolford led the Tigers to a KHSAA state runner-up finish in Class 6A, falling in the state championship game to rival Trinity.

“I’m very thankful for the opportunity that St. X has given me to be part of such a special school these last five years,” said Wolford in an article on the school’s Web site. “Coaching these outstanding kids and working with tremendously talented football coaches has been one of the greatest honors of my life. Special thanks to Alan Donhoff, Frank Espinosa, Dr. Perry Sangalli, and many others for their unconditional support.”

St. X has announced it will begin looking new a head coach immediately.
