HS FOOTBALL | Warren East and South Warren prepare for cross-town matchup

10/06/2016 07:00 PM

Bowling Green high school South Warren and Warren East are hoping a cross-town rivalry match brings out the best competition between the two schools. For Warren East, the team isn’t off to the start it hoped, just 2-5 on the season and being on the unlikely side of very close games. Despite recent losses, head coach Justin Chaffin feels great about the progress his team has made since the start of the season.

South Warren does hold the better record in this contest. They are 4-3 on the season. But records only mean so much in rivalry games and Brandon Smith knows his team will need to be sharp on assignments to play against a more athletic Warren East squad.
