H.S. FOOTBALL | Ryle Hoping for More Success in 2017

08/16/2017 06:02 PM

The Ryle Raiders had one of the best regular seasons in the Bluegrass in last year.

But, even with a final, overall record of 12-1 in 2016, the players are not satisfied with their performance.

“It’s motivation for us I’d say,” said running back Jake Chisholm. “We can’t be satisfied with what we did last year. The year before we got beat in the second round and last year we got beat in the third round. So, we made a little improvement, but we need to make more improvement this year.”

The Raiders’ only loss last year was to Scott County in the KHSAA 6A quarterfinal round of the playoffs.

Ryle will open up the 2017 regular season on Friday night at 7:30 ET against Covington Catholic.
