HS FOOTBALL | Perennial powers could be stronger than ever in 2016

The high school football season is almost here. There are a number of scrimmages taking place all over the state this weekend in preparation for the official season openers next Friday. One of the most competitive scrimmages is taking place tomorrow night in Lexington between Lafayette and visiting Louisville school, Male.

It’s a rematch of last season’s 6A state championship but the teams do not necessarily resemble the ones that met in the title game. Jason Frakes from the Courier-journal was on the show today, and we spoke with him about that preseason matchup, and teams to watch throughout the season.
