HS FOOTBALL | Male is number one when you factor in the human element

09/24/2015 07:24 PM

It’s thursday, which means Jason Frakes of the Louisville Courier-journal was in studio to update us on high school football across the commonwealth.

Right now both Trinity High School in Louisville and Male High School in Louisville are ranked number one in the state in class 6A, but that is the result of two different ranking systems. The Litkenhous ratings put the Shamrocks at number one, while the Kentucky AP Poll was a unanimous decision that Male deserved the top spot. According to Frakes that is because the AP ratings involve the human element.

We spoke to Jason in depth about both Male and Trinity, and also had him preview the cn|2 Sports game of the week, a northern Kentucky matchup of undefeated Simon Kenton vs reigning 4A state champs Highlands.
