H.S. FOOTBALL | Kickoff Kentucky featuring Danville

08/17/2017 04:19 PM

In 2016, the Danville Admirals finished as the class 2-A state runners-up. They finished the year with a 12-3 record, going 7-2 in the region and 3-1 in the district. They ended the year by falling to Christian Academy of Louisville in the state title game.

In 2017, they know they have a target on their back due to their deep post-season run, but their goal of winning a State Championship hasn’t changed.

Another unique challenge they face- playing Fredrick Douglass of Lexington in week one. Since the Broncos are a new team, there isn’t any game film to study to prepare for the week one match-up, but despite that, the Danville staff and players feel confident.

The Admirals kick off Saturday at home versus Fredrick Douglass at 8:15 p.m. eastern as part of the Bob Allen Pigskin Classic.
