H.S. FOOTBALL | Franklin County Starts off Season on Right Note

08/23/2017 01:09 PM

The Franklin County Flyers began their 2017 campaign with a victory on Friday night.

They topped rival Western Hills 24-20.

The win was the first for head coach Eddie James, who took over the Franklin County football program prior to this season.

“It just means a lot to us to give him (Eddie James) his first victory here,” said defensive tackle Jalin Benson.

As a result of its 1-0 start to the season, Franklin County was named our “High School Team of the Week.”

Franklin County’s next match-up will be on Saturday, when it faces Mercer County.
