H.S. FOOTBALL | Central Preparing for First Season Under New Head Coach

07/19/2017 05:55 PM

The Central High School football team has a new leader for the 2017 season.

Marvin Dantzler was named the Yellow Jackets’ head coach in February after former head coach Ty Scroggins stepped down during the offseason.

Dantzler has previous head coaching experience at high schools in Louisiana and Oklahoma.

In a sense, he is replacing a Central “legend.” Scroggins was head coach at the school for ten seasons, reaching seven Class 3A KHSAA State Championship games, winning five of them.

Dantzler is hoping to keep the success going for the the Central Yellowjackets in 2017.
