Beechwood High School football head coach Noel Rash was honored by the Cincinnati Bengals on Tuesday afternoon.

Rash was named the winner of the Paul Brown Excellence in Coaching Award.

The award has been given out to outstanding football coaches in the region since 2002. This year’s prize to Rash also includes a $5,000 Bengals donation to the Beechwood athletic department.

Last season, Rash led Beechwood to the 2016 KHSAA Class A State Championship, after his team beat Hazard 21-14 in the title game. It was his third state championship with Beechwood, as he also led the Tigers to state championships in both 2007, 2008.
