H.S. BOYS GOLF | Lexington Christian Named "Team of the Week"

10/12/2017 09:17 AM

Last week, the Lexington Christian Academy boys golf team won the Leachman Buick-GMC-Cadillac/KHSAA Boys State Golf Championship.

The Eagles won the team title by three strokes over St. Xavier.

It was the third state championship for the LCA boys golf team in program history.

Head coach Eric Geldhof shared his thoughts on the championship:

Meanwhile, LCA golfer Jansen Preston won the KHSAA individual state championship, the first golfer in school history to win an individual state title.

While that was a big deal to Preston, he was more impressed with how his team performed:

As a result of the Eagles’ success, they were named the Spectrum News’ “High School Team of the Week” on Wednesday.
