02/16/2017 09:00 AM

The Dunbar boys basketball team was named Sports Night’s “Team of the Week” on Wednesday.

The Bulldogs are coming off a big week in which they knocked off the state’s No. 1 team, Covington Catholic, 81-62 on Saturday.

The Bulldogs fell to West Jessamine 86-85 on Tuesday night. But, history was made by a Dunbar player during the game.

PLD’s Taveion Hollingsworth, a future WKU Hilltopper, scored 42 points, becoming the Lexington area’s all-time leading scorer with 2,422 career points.
