H.S. BASKETBALL | Mickey Pearson Rewriting the Record Books at John Hardin

01/31/2018 05:13 PM

The John Hardin boys basketball team picked up its third win in a row on Tuesday night, beating Elizabethtown 84-81.

It was another 20-point performance for Bulldogs’ star guard/forward Mickey Pearson.

Pearson, who many believe has a shot to be Kentucky Mr. Basketball, is having a solid season, averaging 27.2 points per game and 11.0 rebounds per game.

In fact, Pearson is rewriting the record books at John Hardin.

Earlier this month, he became the first-ever John Hardin basketball player to score 2,000 career points. Meanwhile, he is also only five rebounds away from recording 1,000 career rebounds. He already holds the record for most rebounds in a career at the high school.

In addition to those records, Pearson is also the school’s all-time leader in blocked shots, made field goals, made free throws, games started and games played.

John Hardin’s next game will take place Friday at Taylor County.
