HS BASKETBALL | KHSAA blind draw results and analysis

The Kentucky High School Athletic Association held it’s blind draw in order to set initial matchups for Kentucky’s Sweet Sixteen Tournament. Where many other states seed their teams according to rankings and records, Kentucky uses the blind draw.

The blind draw creates an environment where good teams could meet each other at any point in the tournament, including the early rounds. For example, Covington Catholic in the 9th region has a chance of playing Trinity of the 7th region if both schools take home their regional title.

We asked BluegrassPreps.com reporter Jason Alexander to help pus make sense of the blind draw matchups, and preview one big game of the weekend.
