HS BASKETBALL | Is Dunbar built for a Sweet Sixteen repeat

03/21/2016 06:21 PM

Lexington’s Paul Laurence Dunbar earned their first ever state title in boy’s basketball over the weekend, beating Doss 61-52. But it will take a very different group if the Bulldogs want to repeat. Three Dunbar starters were seniors and have played their final game of their high school careers. Head coach Scott Chalk is now faced with building next year’s team around junior guard Taveion Hollingsworth and junior center Dontell Brown. But that is next year’s team, and right now the Bulldogs are taking time to enjoy their recent championship.
