H.S. BASKETBALL | Female Coach Leading Boys' Basketball Team

It’s not every day a female head coach is leading a high school boys’ basketball team.

But, that is the case at The Brown School in Louisville.

The school’s boys’ basketball team is being led by Erin Spalding, who previously was the coach of the girls’ team.

“The attention doesn’t really matter to me,” said Spalding. “I just like to coach.”

Justin Leonard, the school’s athletic director, was the one who made the decision to have Spalding coach the boys’ basketball team.

“It was a no-brainer to bring her in on the boys’ side,” said Leonard. “I would love for her to coach my sons one day.”
