HS BASKETBALL | Early game highlights from KHSAA Sweet Sixteen

The KHSAA Boy’s Sweet Sixteen is up and running, and Bowling Green High School did not waste time establishing itself as one of the team’s to beat. The Purples won the opening game of the tournament 68-51 over Graves Co.

Bowling Green used a strong second half to pull away from the Eagles, and now wait for a quarterfinal match up with the winner of Scott Co. and Pulaski Co. on Friday at noon ET.

In the second game of the tournament, Perry County Central took down Pikeville 61-46
and will play the winner of Scott and Harlan County in Friday’s 1:30 p.m. quarterfinal.

Perry County Central outrebounded Pikeville 44-21 and finished with an incredible 12 blocked shots.
