04/24/2018 08:05 PM

Pleasure Ridge Park High School baseball head coach Bill Miller passed away on Monday.

He was 68.

Miller had been battling stage-IV lung cancer since 2015.

Miller was the head coach of the Panthers’ baseball program for 39 years, winning six state championships with the team, while collecting a state-record 1,144 victories in the process.

The Courier-Journal’s Jason Frakes joined Sports Night on Tuesday to reflect on the life and career of Miller:

Miller was inducted into the KHSAA Hall of Fame this past weekend.
