H.S. BASEBALL | Highlands Ready for State Tournament

06/07/2017 06:03 PM

The Highlands baseball team is preparing to play in its third-straight Whitaker Bank/KHSAA State Tournament.

The Bluebirds enter the 16-team tournament with a 25-12 record.

“We talk every year about playing for each other, playing with each other,” said head coach Jeremy Baioni. “This group has done that as good as any group.”

Highlands will face Johnson Central (31-7-1) on Friday at 7:30 p.m. ET inside Lexington’s Whitaker Bank Ballpark.

“It’s going to be a lot of fun,” said Baioni. “Anything can happen.”
