How college football's first female defensive back earned her parents' support

High school football player Shelby Osborne made history recently when she signed on to play at Campbellsville University this fall. Although there have been numerous female kickers to hit the college gridiron, Osborne will be the first female defensive back.
Osborne has received a lot of support from friends, family and fans. And even though she says her parents are supportive of her decision, Osborne says it wasn’t automatic.
