HORSE RACING | Justify Looking To Win Triple Crown on Saturday

06/08/2018 12:14 PM

Justify is looking to become the 13th horse in history to win the Triple Crown.

The thoroughbred, which won the Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes in May, will compete in the 150th running of the Belmont Stakes on Saturday in New York.

If Justify wins, he would become the first Triple Crown winners since American Pharoah in 2015. Like American Pharoah, Justify is also trained by Bob Baffert.

Justify will start the Belmont Stakes in post position No. 1.

ESPN 680’s Jason Anderson joined Sports Night on Friday. Anderson doesn’t necessarily think Justify is a lock to get the win Saturday:

Here’s a look at the starting post positions for the Belmont Stakes:

1. Justify
2. Free Drop Billy
3. Bravazo
4. Hofburg
5. Restoring Hope
6. Gronkowski
7. Tenfold
8. Vino Rosso
9. Noble Indy
10. Blended Citizen

Spectrum News’ Gary Fogle takes a closer look at Free Drop Billy, who enters Saturday’s Belmont Stakes with 30-1 morning line odds:
