02/16/2017 06:50 PM

The Kentucky Derby Museum opened up its new permanent American Pharoah exhibit on Thursday.

Guests to the museum can now see the exhibit when they purchase general admission to the museum.

American Pharoah of course became the first Triple Crown winner since 1978’s Affirmed after winning the Kentucky Derby, Preakness and Belmont Stakes during the 2015 season.

Many items from the horse’s historic season are included in the new exhibit. Those items include:

  • 2015 Horse of the Year Eclipse Award
  • 2015 saddle used in Breeders’ Cup Classic
  • 2016 Maker’s Mark American Pharoah commemorative bottle

Sports Night’s Andrew Chernoff got a tour of the new exhibit on Thursday:
