Game week is here, and the Louisville Cardinals are hyped for their season opener

It’s finally here, game week that is, and Bobby Petrino’s Cardinals are ready to play. It’s finally a chance to put all the hard work done in the off-season into action and show the country who has worked the hardest.

The Cards are now five days away from the Chick-Fil-A kickoff game against Auburn, and for the first time this season they will be facing off against guys with a different school on their jerseys. The prospect of lining up opposite someone other than your teammates has the Cards and their coach excited for game day.

The Cards’ offense will face off against a new Auburn Defense, led by Coordinator Will Muschamp. Muschamp has actually taken a page out of Petrino’s book and not named any starting linebackers. This means the Cards’ offense has to be prepared for a number of looks. This change for the Tigers has Petrino and his team doing double duty in the film room.
