In his first start at Nippert Stadium, Justin Hoyte scored his first goal for FC Cincinnati. The equalizer gave Cincinnati momentum entering the second half but the match ultimately ended in a 1-1 draw.

Cincinnati was hoping for a win in their return to Nippert Stadium after a loss on the road last Saturday. Following the tie, a big week now lies ahead for FC Cincinnati. To kick off the week, the club will host a town hall on Monday night to announce new stadium plans to season ticket holders.

Wednesday will mark the club’s first match against a MLS opponent. FCC will host the Columbus Crew in a fourth round U.S. Open Cup match. Columbus and Cincinnati fans are calling the matchup the “Hell is Real Derby”.

After the U.S. Open Cup game, Cincinnati will return to league play for a rematch. FCC will host the Charleston Battery on Saturday night. The last two meetings between the clubs ended in FCC losses. Most recently, the Battery defeated FCC in the season opener and before that Charleston knocked Cincinnati out of the USL Playoffs to end last season.
