It’s been a long week for FC Cincinnati. Since their 1-1 draw versus Charlotte, the club has announced new stadium plans, upset the MLS’ Columbus Crew and now battled Charleston in a rematch that resulted in a 2-2 tie.

Charleston ended Cincinnati’s season last year and also beat them 2-1 to start this season. FCC got off to a quick start tonight with a goal by Djiby Fall in the fourth minute. After two Charleston goals in the second half, FCC found themselves down 1. Andrew Wiedeman then scored the equalizer in the 80th minute. It was Wiedeman’s first goal of the 2017 season.

The eighth largest crowd in FCC history – 21,074 – filled Nippert for the match. The club’s three matches in the past week set a single-week record with 72,349 fans attending. FCC will now have a week to recover before their next match versus Saint Louis FC on June 24th.
