FC CINCINNATI | Record crowd makes big impact on visiting Crystal Palace

FC Cincinnati gave English Premier League team Crystal Palace their best effort, but the EPL firepower proved too much for the USL club who lost 2-0. But according to FCC head coach John Harkes, entering the game looking for a win was not what he was telling his club, but rather to enjoy the experience of playing in front of a massive group of supporters.

Over 35,000 fans filed into Nippert Stadium to set a statewide attendance record for a soccer game in Ohio. That number exceeds what Crystal Palace typically draws for a home game in London. That support for their home team, and the support offered to Crystal Palace fans visiting the Queen City made a major impact on both teams.
