Fair or foul? Most Cards think the umps blew the call

When David Olmedo-Barrera (shown at the plate right before his homer) hit his second home run of Monday Night’s deciding game of the Super Regional, most Louisville fans, players and coaches thought the ball had drifted foul. Even after looking at the replay, the Cardinals were convinced the play would wind up being a long strike and nothing more.
Instead, despite going to video replay, the umpires stuck with their original call. Olmedo-Barrera was given credit for the home run, and Cal-State Fullerton went on to eliminate the Cardinals in 11 innings, 4-3.
Uofl Head Coach Dan McDonnell refuses to blame the umpires. He says his team had plenty of chances to win the game and just could not get the job done. Tony and Bruce discuss the fair/foul scenario on a recent edition of cn|2 sports.
