Eastern Kentucky University’s head basketball coach Jeff Neubauer has been named as one of 16 finalists for the Skip Prosser Man of the Year Award.
The annual award recognizes a coach that exemplifies high moral integrity and success on the court. It is named for the late Skip Prosser, former coach of Wake Forest who passed away in 2007. Previous recipients include Mike Brey (Notre Dame), Ed Conroy (The Citadel), Chris Mack (Xavier), Bob Marlin (Sam Houston State), Joe Mihalich (Niagara), Jimmy Patsos (Loyola MD) and Brian Wardle (Green Bay).
Neubauer guided the Colonels to a No. 2 seed in the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament this season. They will go for Neubauer’s record fifth 20-win season with a first-round CIT game on Tuesday.
The winner of the 2015 Skip Prosser Man of the Year Award will be presented Final Four weekend in Indianapolis.
