EKU MEN'S BASKETBALL | Head Coach Dan McHale excited for second season at EKU

10/10/2016 07:01 PM

The Eastern Kentucky men’s basketball team began official practices earlier this month.

The Colonels are gearing up for their second season under head coach Dan McHale.

Last season, EKU finished 15-16 overall, missing out on the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament. The team lost seven games though by six points or less.

This year, the Colonels are hoping they have better luck in those close games.

EKU’s schedule is busy the rest of October. It takes part in EKU Halloween Hoopfest October 19, before holding two intrasquad scrimmages, one on October 21 and the other on October 29.

The Colonels’ only exhibition game takes place November 6 against Georgetown College (KY). They then have their first non-exhibition game on November 11 at home against IUPUI.
