EKU FOOTBALL | Mark Elder refocusing on looming conference schedule

09/19/2016 03:58 PM

The Eastern Kentucky football team is off to a tough start in their first three games of the season, but Mark Elder expected as much. Since the start of the season, Elder has made it very clear that the first three games of the season, two of which were against FBS opponents, would test the team early. The hope being a trial by fire approach readies his mostly new team for the rigors of conference play.

EKU is coming off a loss to Ball State. Coach Elder joined the show today, and among other things, we asked him about the early troubles that put Eastern in a 27 point hole by halftime, and how practices are changing now that his team is in a bye-week.
