EKU FOOTBALL | Lawson Using Previous Career to Help Teach Current Players

07/29/2017 04:36 PM

The EKU football team began fall practice earlier this week for its upcoming 2017 season.

There is plenty of excitement surrounding the Colonels this year thanks to their Class of 2017 recruiting class, which was, according to HERO Sports, ranked 14th nationally at the FCS level.

A big reason for the solid recruiting class was because of the work put in by EKU Director of Recruiting Brandon Lawson.

Lawson got involved with college football earlier this decade, following his time in the United States Marine Corps.

In fact, during his tenure in the Marines, Lawson was the Marine One Crew Chief for a time during the President George W. Bush administration.
