EKU FOOTBALL | Dean Hood has only good things to say about Freshman Arien Beasley

RICHMOND – The Eastern Kentucky University football team is off to a 1-1 start this season. They are coming of a road loss to North Carolina State University, but they dismantled Valporaiso one game earlier in their season opener 52-10. In the Valpo game, one true freshman got to show a glimpse of his skill-set and put up six points for the Colonels on an 11 yard touchdown run. That freshman was Arien Beasley.

Beasley is a Louisville native and attended North Oldham High School, and was one of cn|2 Sports’ All Star of the Week as a senior last fall. In his first year of college ball, Beasley is already making a name for himself on an EKU team loaded with talented skill players. We asked Head Coach Dean Hood about the budding freshman, he did not hold back any praise.

We also talked to Coach Hood about his teams health and their preparations for the rest of the season as they enter their off-week. Check out our full interview with the Head Colonel below
