EKU FOOTBALL | Colonels Snap Four-Game Losing Streak

11/15/2016 09:28 AM

The Eastern Kentucky Colonels football team (3-7) snapped its four-game losing streak on Saturday by beating Austin Peay 67-30.

The 67 points scored were tied for the most in program history. EKU previously set that mark in a 1925 game against Morehead St.

There was plenty of offense in the game for the Colonels, as they had 531 total yards of offense, including 346 yards on the ground.

EKU head coach Mark Elder caught up with Andrew Chernoff on Monday via SKYPE to talk about his team’s win this past weekend, and to preview his team’s upcoming game against Eastern Illinois.

Kick-off on Saturday has been changed to 2 p.m. ET in Richmond, KY.
