EKU FOOTBALL | Colonels Looking To Snap Three-Game Skid Saturday

10/31/2016 07:02 PM

The Eastern Kentucky football team lost 33-3 on Saturday to UT-Martin.

UT-Martin led in just about every stat category by the end of the game, out-gaining the Colonels 509-229 in total offense, held on the ball for over 40 minutes during the game and nearly doubled EKU in first downs (27 to 14).

With the loss, the Colonels are now on a three-game losing streak.

They are hoping to end that skid this Saturday when they host Murray St. Kickoff in Richmond is set for 1 p.m. ET.

EKU currently sits at 2-6 overall, 1-4 in Ohio Valley Conference play.

Eastern’s head coach Mark Elder joined cn|2 Sports on Monday via SKYPE to discuss this past Saturday’s game and to look ahead to this week’s game against Murray State.
