EKU FOOTBALL | Colonels Hoping to Pull Off Upset Over No. 3 Jacksonville St.

10/10/2017 11:12 AM

The EKU football team is hard at work preparing for one of its toughest tests of the season this weekend.

The Colonels (1-4, 1-2) will be on the road to face No. 3 Jacksonville St. (4-1, 2-0) Saturday. Kickoff is set for 3 p.m. ET in Jacksonville, Al.

EKU enters the match-up riding a two-game losing streak after falling to Southeast Missouri and Tennessee St. the last two weeks.

Eastern Kentucky head coach Mark Elder joined Sports Night on Tuesday to preview Saturday’s game against the Gamecocks:

Jacksonville St. leads the all-time series over EKU 8-6. In fact, the Gamecocks have won the last four meetings between the two teams.
