EKU FOOTBALL | Colonels gearing up for conference opener

09/26/2016 07:01 PM

Eastern Kentucky front loaded its schedule with difficult non-conference opponents. The team currently sits at 1-2 after a win over Pikeville, and road losses to FBS opponents Purdue and Ball State. But the Colonels have had a full week to recover and refocus on the heart of their season, that being conference play which starts this weekend at Tennessee Tech.

EKU head coach Mark Elder joined the show today to preview the matchup with the Golden Eagles, and had great things to say about how his team has responded since the week three loss to Ball State.
