EKU BASKETBALL | Colonels overcome 15 point first half deficit to win 91-88

Despite giving up 16 three-pointers, the Eastern Kentucky Colonels (11-19, 5-12 OVC) pulled out a 91-88 victory over Southeast Missouri State (14-16, 8-9 OVC) on senior night at McBrayer Arena. Senior Dillon Avare had 4 three-pointers in the second half and recorded a game-sealing block with 11 seconds left, the first of his career.

The Colonels were led by Nick Mayo’s 25 points and nine rebounds. JacQuess Hobbs finished with 16 points and 4 assists, DeAndre Dishman had 14 and 5 rebounds and Dillon Avare had 12 points and 1 block, all in the second half.

Eastern Kentucky goes on the road to Morehead State for the regular season finale on Saturday. Tip-off is scheduled for 2 p.m. ET.
