Dumervil excited to have his jersey honored during UofL-Syracuse game

Former UofL football defensive end and current Baltimore Ravens Linebacker Elvis Dumervil had his jersey honored during the first quarter of the Louisville-Syracuse game. Dumervil, who played for the Cards from 2002-2005, spent four seasons as a defensive end and led the Cards in sacks, becoming the team’s first Bronko Nagurski award winner, given to the nation’s to defensive player in the country.
Dumervil said he was humbled by the honor, and loved his time with the Cards. He is in the ‘ville because Baltimore has a bye this week in the NFL.
At halftime, the Cardinal Forever took some time to reflect on his time as a Cardinal.
