Dolphins sign UofL's Kai De La Cruz

Former UofL wide receiver Kai De La Cruz received good news today in the form of a contract with The Miami Dolphins. De La Cruz was one of three free agent players to sign with the Dolphins this morning. He is also the second wide receiver to join the Miami roster this year after his teammate Devante Parker was taken 14th overall in this year’s draft.

De La Cruz joins Miami after trying out for the team during the 2015 rookie mini camp. De La Cruz’s playing time fluctuated at UofL. He saw action in 11 games in his 2012 sophomore season, but was limited by injury in 2013. Last season, as a redshirt senior, he recorded 26 receptions for 303 yards and a pair of touchdowns for the Cardinals.

De La Cruz now becomes the 38th former Card who is currently signed to an NFL roster. The official terms of his deal have not been released.
