Outwork is a bay colt by Uncle Mo, out of the Empire Maker mare Nonna Mia, foaled on March 8, 2013. Outwork is one of three horses sired by 2015 leading freshman sire Uncle Mo. Three of Outwork’s four career starts were victories, his lone defeat came in the Grade 2 Tampa Bay Derby where he was second beaten one length behind stable mate Destin.

Outwork is owned by Repole Stable, trained Todd Pletcher and ridden by John Velazquez. Pletcher won the 2010 Kentucky Derby with Super Saver and has trained 10 Eclipse Award winning Thoroughbreds. Jockey John Velazquez is the winner of more than 5,500 races, including 13 Breeders’ Cup races.

When she’s not working at the station she is covering high school sports, Bengals or EKU games for Sports Night, which airs weeknights at 6:30 and 10:30 on Spectrum News.
