My Man Sam is owned by Sheep Pond Partners, Newport Stables LLC and Jay W. Bligh, Trained by Chad Brown and ridden by Irad Ortiz, Jr. Ortiz’s lone Kentucky Derby mount, Uncle Sigh, ran 14th in 2014. Trainer Chad Brown’s lone Kentucky Derby starter, Normandy Invasion, ran fourth in 2013.
