Post Position: 4
Morning Line Odds: 20-1
Trainer: Tom Amoss
Jockey: Corey Lanerie

Mo Tom is a dark bay colt by Uncle Mo, out of the Rubiano mare Caroni. Foaled May 6, 2013 in Kentucky. He is one of three horses sired by 2015 leading freshman sire Uncle Mo; the others are Nyquist and Outwork. A win would make sire Uncle Mo the youngest Derby-winning sire at age 8.

Mo Tom broke maiden at Ellis Park on Sept. 5; looks to become the first Ellis Park maiden victor to win the Kentucky Derby. He is no. 20 on the Kentucky Derby Leaderboard with 32 points.

Trainer Tom Amoss was born Nov. 17, 1961 in New Orleans, LA. He worked for top trainers Jack Van Berg and Frank Brothers before going out on his own. He has been leading trainer at Churchill Downs, Kentucky Downs and Ellis Park, but is still looking for his first KY Derby victory.
