Exaggerator is dark bay colt by Curlin out of the Vindication mare Dawn Raid, foaled Feb. 5, 2013 in Kentucky. Exaggerator is trained by J. Keith Desormeaux and ridden by Kent Desormeaux. The last brother jockey/trainer combo in Kentucky Derby was Dixieland Heat, who was 12th in 1993 for Randy and Gerald Romero. Prior to
that, it was Jimmy and Nick Combest, who were seventh in 1964 with Mr. Moonlight.
