Defense carries the day for Louisville

The Louisville cardinals trailed Miami for the entire first half, and most of the game. In the end, however, the Cardinals were able to claw, and scratch their way back into the game, rallying for a must-have, 55-53 victory. The win snaps the Cardinals 2 game losing streak and improves the team to 21-6, 9-5 in the ACC. It keeps Louisville tied for 4th in the conference with North Carolina. Remember, the top four teams get double byes in the upcoming ACC Tournament.
Montrezl Harrell led all scorers with 21 points and 14 rebounds. It was this dunk off a Terry Rozier save late in the half, that really seemed to ignite UofL.
After the game Harrell told cn|2 what this comeback victory means for the Cardinals when looking at the big picture.
Chris Jones added 17 points, and Wayne Blackshear had 10. Louisville has a quick turnaround. The Cardinals play at Georgia Tech Monday at 7pm ET. The Yellow Jackets fell to 12-15 overall, 3-12 in the ACC, after losing Saturday to North Carolina 89-60.
