After losing the first five games of their international series, the Cardinals finally put together a small string of wins. Tonight, Rick Pitino switched sides to coach Louisville to a 77-72 victory over the Puerto Rico junior national team. The Cards held the lead to end each quarter despite giving up a staggering 26 turnovers. They also survived a fourth quarter surge by the Puerto Rican team.

Damien Lee was lights out once again for the cardinals, scoring a game high 28 points to go with nine rebounds. Lee has now scored a total 120 points in his first five games in the Cardinal uniform.

This was the last the teams will square off after the decision to cancel Sunday night’s game. The cards finished 2-5 against the Puerto Rican national teams.
