CHURCHILL DOWNS | Sneak Peak at the Renovated Second Floor Inside the Clubhouse

04/04/2017 07:15 PM

Churchill Downs is in the middle of a $16 million capital project aimed at modernizing the second floor of the facility’s Clubhouse.

The goal of the renovations are to make it more fan-friendly and give the fans a better “fan experience” when in the Clubhouse.

The facility has added more than 220 flat-screen televisions to the floor, along with over twice as many more restrooms.

In addition to this, there are new lounges and locations within the second floor for fans to see:

  • The Aristides Lounge – Table seating for almost 300 people, along with 27 televisions and a full-service bar.
  • The Loft at Aristides Lounge – Seating for more than 300 guests who hope to have a more “intimate dining and event experience.”
  • Champions Bar and Gold Room – Exclusive area to VIP bettors and horsemen.
  • The Champions Bar and Gold Room Balcony – Balcony offering a view of the Paddock.

Sports Night was able to take a sneak peak of the new and improved second floor on Tuesday morning:
