Churchill Downs Hosts High School Football Media Day

08/08/2016 04:35 PM

As students prepare to head back to school, high school football players prepare to take the field under the Friday night lights.

Today Churchill Downs and the Courier Journal hosted their annual high school football media for area schools and among those at the podium, were traditional powerhouse Trinity, and last year’s 6A champs, Louisville Male.

There are dozens of story lines for schools across the area, but for Trinity, they discussed the next generation of Shamrock running backs:

And for Male, this year’s group of seniors have to find a way to create their own legacy:

The season officially gets underway on Friday, August 19. Male kicks off at Floyd Central (Indiana) at 7:00 p.m. and Trinity gets started at Ensworth (Tennessee) on that same day and time.
