CHURCHILL DOWNS | Champions Day Added to Derby Week

Churchill Downs has announced a new Derby Week event that will take place at the track on Tuesday, May 1, 2018.

“Champions Day” will celebrate “the greatest moments in the sport’s history” and will honor “its legendary jockeys and trainers.”

There will be live Thoroughbred races throughout the day.

Fans can also meet famed Derby and Oaks-winning jockeys and trainers. Featured jockeys and trainers include Pat Day, Gary Stevens and D. Wayne Lukas.

Gates will open at 11 a.m. ET. Tickets start at $10.
