It wasn’t always pretty, and UofL fans never really had a chance to relax during the game. However Cardinal Guards Chris Jones and Terry Rozier once again saved the day for Louisville. Jones, the senior, had a game high 28 points and 6 rebounds, while Rozier the sophomore added 23 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists, as Louisville defeated Boston College 81-72.
It was a strange game. The Cardinals never trailed, but, with the exception of one short 10 point lead in the second half, UofL never had a double digit advantage. Every time the Cardinals looked to be pulling away, the Eagles would fly right back into it. Montrezl Harrell finished with 12 points while Wayne Blackshearr wound up with 10. Aaron Brown had 28 for BC.
With the win the 10th ranked Cards improve to 17-3 overall, 5-2 in the ACC while Boston College falls to 9-10 overall, 1-6 in the conference. UofL will leave snowy Boston on Thursday and return to cold but clear Louisville. The Cards host 13th ranked North Carolina Saturday at 4pm in the YUM Center, in a game televised by ESPN.
