The University of Louisville basketball team improved to 2-0 with a 68-48 win over Lamar on Sunday at the KFC Yum Center.
It was far from a thing of beauty. The Cards held Lamar to 23 percent shooting from the field, but led by just eight points (52-44) with 5:37 remaining. Louisville then put the game out of reach with a 16-4 run.
Freshman Chane Behanan had his second-straight double-double to start his career with 10 points and 13 rebounds.
Junior forward Mike Marra left the game in the second half with a knee injury. The injury was initially diagnosed as a sprain, but Marra will undergo further testing on Monday.
The Cards will spend this week preparing for a trip to historic Hinkle Field House to play two-time defending national champion Butler on Saturday.
